Ditch the new annoying ass variable highlight in Flex Builder 3
Once you install Flex Builder beta 3 milestone 4 and open up an Actionscript class you might be greeted by this little gem:

If you find it as distracting as I do, here is how you dump it:
Click on Flex Builder menu item at the top, then click on preferences. Navigate to the section shown on the image below then select the Actionscript Occurences button, then just uncheck the “text as” option:

Thanks for the tip. After following it, I found there’s also a button in the toolbar called “Mark Occurances” which lets you toggle that feature on and off. Thought you’d like to know, as I find the feature useful sometimes, but annoying most of the time.
